The First Sentier MUFG Sustainable Investment Institute provides research on topics to advance sustainable investing.

Launched in May 2021, the Institute is a joint collaboration between First Sentier Investors and MUFG, who work with global research groups, consultants and academics to examine Environmental, Social and Governance issues and better understand how our investment practices can lead to a more sustainable world.

First Foundation and Volunteering Leave

The First Foundation is our philanthropic entity, a global foundation established to make a difference to the local communities where our staff live and work.

We promote charitable time and giving in the areas of Education, Environment and Social Welfare. The Foundation may also support other charitable giving promoted by staff or required by natural disaster.

All staff have access to a donation matching program and three paid days per calendar year to volunteer with a community-based organisation, charity or not-for-profit.

Financial Services Council Women in Investment Management Charter Commitment

In August 2021, we have become an inaugural signatory to the Financial Services Council Women in Investment Management Charter (WIM Charter), in Australia.

The WIM Charter’s purpose is to help improve gender diversity in investment management, through the introduction of additional accountability and transparency mechanisms to enable organisations to achieve their desired, self-nominated, gender diversity target.

As part of our commitment, we are publicly announcing that we have set a target for women to represent at least 40% of our investment management staff by 2033.
