Since 2018, we have been employing passionate graduates to join The Data School Down Under, a program designed to shape the next generation of data analysts and consultants.

Application Process
- Join Tableau
Join the community and download Tableau Public. Create an account with Tableau Public. For tips on how to get started, these videos are great. - Get Inspired
There’s brilliant examples online for you to look at and research. If you need more inspiration look at Coach Natalia’s page to see what previous cohorts have created to get into The Data School. Also check out the Tableau Public Gallery.
- Find Your Data
Choose a dataset that you are passionate about; from politics to sport, TV and popular culture. You can find data on sites like Data is plural, Kaggle, Data.world, data.gov.au, or the Tableau resources page. Our top tip is to find data that you are interested in.
- Create Your Viz
Now the fun begins! Once you have your data set, you can begin creating your winning viz! Once it’s ready, publish it! Need help? Get in touch with any of the team or coaches! We’re more than happy to give advice and guidance.
- Share It With Us
Once your work is live on Tableau Public and collecting love from the community, share it with us by filling in the application form! Let our team of coaches help improve your viz. We review one viz from ALL applicants and if you get it in early, we’ll provide feedback for you to make it even better.
- The Interview
If we see passion, creativity and a flair for data, we’ll follow up with you personally. First, you’ll have a video call, where you present your visualisation to us for 10 minutes. Following that, the best candidates will be invited in for a final interview with the rest of the team.
