Firstly, this is a chance for us to each share our whakapapa and get to know each other. Be yourself. We want to have a diverse group of people and perspectives joining Transpower so we want to understand what makes you unique and different from everyone else. Show us the real you!

It’s also crucial that you tell us what you are genuinely thinking and feeling, not what you think we want to hear.

Secondly, it’s important that you can tell us why you want to come and work with us. What is it about our business that motivates and inspires you? Is your interview online? Make sure you set yourself up in a private room and have a good internet connection. It will be way less stressful for you if you don’t have someone watching or making noise in the background. If this is difficult for you, let us know in advance and we will see how we can support you.

Of course, you are welcome to have someone sitting alongside you in your interview, if that makes things a little more comfortable, and you can bring whānau along for support if that helps.

Not sure what to wear? Aim for clean, tidy, and relaxed. You certainly won’t find many suits and ties at our place.
