Matrix Education is now hiring casual HSC English Teachers to join our Academic Team at our Chatswood and Parramatta campus on weekdays and weekends.

This role is ideal for an Education or current postgraduate student (MTeach, MD or PhDc) seeking an ongoing casual teaching position which offers stability. Lesson plans and resources for the classes are provided for ease of class preparation.

Our classes run on weekday afternoons and all day on weekends during the NSW school term. Sunday availability is essential for this role.

What you'll do....

Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term,
Ongoing monitoring of student’s academic progress through marking weekly essay submissions,
Teaching opportunities during the NSW school holidays,
Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.

What you'll need....

Possess a genuine passion for teaching,
Previous experience teaching secondary English in a classroom setting,
Have good knowledge of the current NESA curriculum in stage 4, 5 and 6 English,
Have completed their degree in Education, Media, Arts, Philosophy or a related discipline,
Postgraduate studies in the above listed disciplines will be highly regarded.
