About the role: Key Responsibilities

1. Assist to carry out asset condition assessments and assist in the loading of these data onto council’s asset management system

2. Assist to carry out and update mapping of the infrastructure assets in line with the asset management system

3. Assist to provide levels and specifications; approve construction of vehicular crossings, kerb & gutter, footpaths and stormwater connection

4. Assist to approve and monitor road opening permits, road/footpath occupancy permits and hoarding permits

5. Assist to carry out final inspections of kerb and gutter and footpath of development sites for release of kerb and gutter damage deposit bonds

6. Assist with the preparation of annual and 4 year rolling capital works programs of infrastructure assets

7. Assist in the preparation of annual reports, asset valuation, submission for grants, LGA returns and all other statistical reporting as required.

About you:

1. Studying Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent

2. Ability to manage and organise own time and set work priorities in order to meet deadlines

3. Experience in the use of Excel and Word

4. Class C Driver License
