Life & Culture

Clayton Utz is a firm characterised by its people and the support our people provide one another every day.

Values

Culture

Regardless of practice group or office location, being surrounded by dynamic, ambitious, yet down to earth individuals is ... well, it’s rather refreshing. We’re here for the right reasons and we don’t step on each other’s toes to achieve success. We don’t just talk the talk, we purposefully create the environments for collaboration and we share laughs along the way. This supportive attitude helped us get to where we are today ‒ and can help you get to where you want to be.

Proudly independent, globally connected

With a genuine commitment to client service, we are trusted advisers to a diverse base of private and public sector organisations. They include many of Australia’s top financial institutions, multinational corporations operating in a range of sectors, and State and Australian government departments and agencies. Our independence allows us to pursue whole-business relationships with a range of leading foreign firms, not just one.

Pro Bono

At Clayton Utz, pro bono work is part of every lawyer's everyday practice.  It is real legal work, given billable hour credit and built into lawyers' performance assessments and eligibility for bonuses and promotions.  Pro bono work is challenging, diverse and far-reaching, and we see the real difference that our work makes to our clients' lives.

Making a difference in our community

At Clayton Utz we've set serious goals for our social responsibility programs to help address disadvantage and support access to justice in the communities in which we work and live. As a part of Clayton Utz, you'll be encouraged to join in and make a difference.
