TRAINEE: Market Performance Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Help to manage the main part of the MPA functions in coordination with the rest of the team (Daily reporting of Revenue, Sales Commissions, Costs, RWA)
  • Assist the team with Financial Analysis of Global Market Asia and Strategic Business Analysis in order to produce profitability at trading desk level.
  • Assist with the Cost Steering across business lines and countries
  • Provide innovative and visual reporting solutions (using PowerBi or other tools)
  • Assist with Pilot the Regional Performance across Asia (Hong-Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, India, China)
  • Understand, explain and deliver Performance and Profitability Analysis
  • Candidates with outstanding performance will be considered for early conversion to permanent roles.

The Trainee role is a full time 24-month contract with Societe Generale where you will have access to a diverse range of training materials to help you succeed, covering various aspects of businesses, including but not limited to technical skills, leadership development, communication skills, client service and relationship management. To be eligible, please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of Trainee contract.

Profile required

  • Hold a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree in Banking and Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Good understanding of Financial products especially Derivatives products
  • Proficient with MS Office Excel, Powerpoint. Basic Knowledge in VBA/Python and Power Bi would be a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact collaboratively with internal partners
  • Fluent English is mandatory

Governance, Risk and Conduct (GRC) includes several compliance disciplines and has responsibility for ABC (Anti-Bribery & Corruption), Risk Assessment, Policy and Training, ESG, Data & Digital and Conduct risks.  It is a regional team providing coverage on these matters across all of the locations in ASIA.
