Graduate Electrical Engineer

Railway engineering is one of the most important ways AECOM delivers a better world – we work on huge, complex and challenging railway infrastructure projects that increase urban and inter-city mobility for millions of people. We are looking for a Graduate Engineer who is a team player and an open thinker, and who wants to contribute to some of the biggest challenges in transportation infrastructure. 

How you’ll make a difference:  

  • Plan, design, and engineer electrical infrastructure that supports the operation of rail networks and broader transportation needs.
  • Work on LV designs for stations, HV traction power substation designs for powering overhead wiring systems used in railway networks, as well as key earthing and bonding system designs.
  • Gain exposure to emerging technologies and transportation decarbonisation projects. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams and contribute to technical deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your final year or completed a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering 
  • Graduate Year: You must have completed your studies and have graduated before starting the program.
  • Commencement: You must be able to commence work by February 2026. We are open to mid-year finishers who are able to commence by July 2026.
