Intergenerational Preschool Educator

  • $37.50-$45 per hour (dependent on experience, skills and capabilities) plus 12% Superannuation

 

Successful candidates will require a Working with Children Check (WWCC) 

 

This role is to support the delivery of the intergenerational intervention in a multisite clinical trial of intergenerational practice by assisting the trial team in delivering the intergenerational intervention at participating preschool sites. 

 

Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Integrity trial 20 week predesigned intergenerational intervention across a variety of preschools as required.
  • Actively participate in meetings and activities as requested
  • This role requires access to a car. 

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

 Essential 

  • Qualification in early childhood education
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experienced early childhood educator
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated skills in team working
  • Demonstrated use of initiative and problem solving
  • Understand the need and for and demonstrate strict adherence to confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well and flexibly i.e. autonomously, in small teams and with a wide range varying stakeholders
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments

Desirable

  • Significant experience of delivering intergenerational programs bringing together older adults and preschool children
  • Experience of clinical research in intergenerational practice
