The opportunity

A fantastic opportunity is available for an undergraduate engineer to join our team.

You will mainly focus on existing buildings with fire damage, tree, and vehicle impacts.

Following the completion of your undergraduate degree, there is potential for you to maintain full-time hours pending overall performance. You will be mentored by experienced engineers and will gain exposure to a broad range of disciplines, including Structural, Civil, Geotechnical, Stormwater, and Architectural designers.

Requirements

• Currently undertaking a Civil/Structural Engineering degree 
• Familiar with Australian building codes & standards 
• Strong technical report writing skills 
• Excellent attention to detail 
• Experience interpreting structural behaviour 
• Experience with buildings 
• Keen to learn, be mentored and be a part of the team. 
• Strong English, writing and analytical skills will be highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Achieving client satisfaction 
• Prepare causation reports on defects and damage
• Prepare scope of works 
• Work effectively to keep billings up to date 
• Perform structural design of timber, steel and concrete structures and associated drafting
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all technical aspects related to buildings

You will be mentored by senior engineers.

Continued professional development and involvement in appropriate industry associations.
