Let’s talk about the opportunity

The purpose of this role is to provide hearing support services to the presiding Chief Commissioner or Commissioner, investigation team and legal team to facilitate effective compulsory examinations and public inquiries, as well as provide a range of general and legal administrative services within the Executive Support unit.

This is a temporary 12-month, full-time position. Current NSW Government employees interested in a secondment opportunity are encouraged to apply.

The total remuneration package is valued up to $106,848 per annum (annual salary is $89,547 to $99,284), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation (currently 11.5%) and annual leave loading (currently 17.5%).

Essential requirements

Candidates will be assessed against the following requirements:

  • Currently studying for a legal qualification and/or paralegal experience with a general understanding of legal terminology and processes.
  • Experience providing research, administration and record keeping services within a legal environment, including use of office applications and technical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse legal content, and write clearly and succinctly with demonstrated attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible, and to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team, and to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, occupations and seniority, both internal and external to the Commission.

The NSW ICAC was established in 1988 as an independent organisation to protect the public interest, prevent breaches of public trust and guide the conduct of public officials in the NSW public sector.  We are committed to:

  • educating the NSW community and public sector about corruption and its effects.
