The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) is Australia’s premier training ground for future leaders and practitioners in the dramatic arts. About the Role
The key responsibilities include troubleshooting complex AV systems, providing first- and second-level technical support, and supporting AV platforms such as Echo360, Teams, Zoom, and Vimeo for lecture capture, web conferencing, and live streaming.
The role also involves familiarity with AV over IP (AVoIP) technologies like Dante, NDI, MediorNet, and Q-SYS for signal distribution, along with a baseline understanding of IT networking tasks like setting IP addresses and creating small networks for audio and video systems.
About You
You are an experienced AV support specialist with a strong background in corporate and educational environments, skilled in troubleshooting complex AV systems and providing technical support for platforms like Echo360, Teams, Zoom, and Vimeo. You are knowledgeable in AV over IP technologies such as Dante, NDI, MediorNet, and Q-SYS, and have a solid understanding of IT networking, camera setup for lectures and live performances, and inventory management. Additionally, you are adept at electronics fault-finding, repair, and maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of AV systems and equipment.

This is a casual contract with casual hourly rates between $39.05-$44.16.
