Are you a law student in your final year of study in 2025? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Kingston Reid, Australia's premier national Employment, Workplace Relations, and Workplace Health & Safety law firm. With offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane, you'll get to work on interesting matters with some of Australia’s largest employers and government, across a variety of industry sectors, solving complex workplace issues.

The role is an in-person role and will be located in our Sydney office. 

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with legal drafting
  • Perform legal research
  • Review and draft court documents
  • Manage documents and files
  • Conduct due diligence
  • Prepare internal and external presentations
  • Draft chronologies

Some of our past cohorts of paralegals have traditionally had opportunities to transition to graduate lawyer roles following the completion of their degrees. What We're Looking For:

  • On track to complete your law degree in 2025
  • Strong interest in employment, industrial relations, and/or safety law
  • Proactive, self-driven, and conscientious working style
  • Highly motivated with a desire to exceed expectations
  • High level of internal and external client service
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Team player who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to providing excellent client service

Details:

  • Ideal start date: 13 or 20 January 2025
  • Rate of pay: Legal Services Award
  • Duration/type of employment: Casual/flexible hours depending on your study schedule
  • Application closing date: 18 October 2024
