Position Overview:

As a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing behaviour support plans that promote positive outcomes for individuals with complex needs.  You will provide expert guidance and support to clients, families, and other professionals within the southwestern Sydney area.  This role offers flexibility, allowing you to choose between part-time, casual, or contract arrangements.  Immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and review individualized Behaviour Support Plans in collaboration with clients, families, and support teams.
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviours.
- Provide training and support to families, caregivers, and staff to ensure consistent implementation of behaviour support strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and reports.

Requirements:

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a behaviour support role, with expertise in working with individuals with complex needs.
- Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Proficiency in conducting functional behaviour assessments and developing Behaviour Support Plans.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS framework and Positive Behaviour Support guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Current Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain), driver licence, own vehicle, and valid working rights in Australia.
