Undergraduate Civil Site Engineer / Cadet Engineer
About Convil Group
Convil Group is a Sydney-based civil construction company delivering civil infrastructure projects across Sydney and surrounding areas.
We are seeking a motivated Undergraduate Civil Engineering student, preferably in their 3rd or 4th year, to join our project delivery team as an Undergraduate Civil Site Engineer / Cadet Engineer.
This is a hands-on, site-based role for a student who wants practical experience in civil construction while completing their degree. You will work alongside Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Project Managers and Site Supervisors on live civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day site engineering and project delivery
- Assist engineers with site activities, planning and coordination
- Review construction drawings and specifications
- Assist with site measurements and quantity take-offs
- Prepare and maintain QA documentation, ITPs and inspection records
- Assist with RFIs, site records and progress reporting
- Assist with procurement and material tracking
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers
- Attend site inspections and project meetings
- Assist with WHS and environmental requirements
- Work with supervisors and engineers to resolve site issues
About You
- Currently studying a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Preferably in your 3rd or 4th year
- Available to work approximately 3 to 5 days per week
- Strong interest in civil construction and site engineering
- Comfortable working on active construction sites
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Able to travel to project sites across Sydney
- Australian working rights
- Previous construction or site experience is highly regarded but not essential
