As an Electrical Engineer

Joining Cement Australia as a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering our $106 million Railton Operations Decarbonisation Project. This exciting and diverse project involves major upgrades to existing plant and equipment, as well as significant investment in new infrastructure to safely store, prepare, and feed tyre-derived fuel and biomass residue to our kiln, converting waste to energy, offsetting coal use. In this role you'll gain hands on experience in:

• All aspects of the Cement making process
• Electrical Engineering design, constriction, commissioning and integrations into operations.
• Embedding compliance and safety into all design ensuring operational readiness
• Assist in the design, Installation, Commissioning and programming of large-scale Variable speed drives
• Design and management of Electrical Hazardous area installations
• Developing and optimising Automation and control concepts
• Analysing data and problem-solving issues
• Assist in major projects and shutdown work, with the potential to develop your leadership skills

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role designed to develop your technical capability and prepare you to step into future leadership roles. Through this work you will develop your understanding of the project management life cycle and shape the future of our operations for years to come.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for curious, driven grads who want to hit the ground running in 2025. You’ll thrive here if you are:

• Completing (or have recently completed) a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Dual Degree) Electrical and Electronic or Bachelor of Engineering Power
• Excited by complex infrastructure projects and hands-on problem solving
• Bring strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
• Enjoy collaborating across disciplines and working on high-impact initiatives
• Eager to develop expertise in areas such as compliance, systems modernisation, and protection systems
• Proactive, open to feedback, and motivated to grow into a future leader
• Open to relocating for rotations (we’ll support you every step of the way) – sites include Railton (TAS) and Gladstone (QLD)
